Pelvic Health Mastery

Pilates is for everyone. I started teaching refo Pilates is for everyone. 

I started teaching reformer Pilates in 2008. I love that reformer classes are trending now, but at around $40 per group class, it's become luxury level fitness. 

And as much as I love them, you really don't need a $10,000 reformer or an aesthetic studio to get results. I promise. 

Grab a foam roller, a skateboard, a frisbee or Tupperware lid on a carpet, a fuzzy sock on a smooth floor - and try this sequence 😘

Remember to breathe. Go slow. Exhale on the effort of the movement. 

And don't forget, Pilates doesn't require the latest set from Alo, a particular body type or a penchant for matcha lattés - the movement is for everyone.

I’m 45 this year.
2 kids. IVF. Miscarriage. Prolapse. Heart surgery.
And 20+ years teaching movement.

Movement healed me — but not because it was Pilates or weights. Because it was both. Because it was everything. 

Cross training isn’t trendy. It’s just what a real body needs.

But if your hips and spine don’t actually move well, that stretch won’t fix much.

Instead, I focus on:
• Hip internal rotation (huge for joint health)
• Thoracic spine mobility (for posture + pain-free movement)
• Controlled range of motion VS passive stretching

5 years ago I was rehabbing diastasis recti and rebuilding my core after 2 babies in 2 years. 

Alongside that personal experience, I’ve spent over 20 years teaching Pilates and working with postnatal clients through all stages of core recovery.

These 5 exercises are examples of the kind of work I use to help restore abdominal wall tension and rebuild functional core strength over time. They work. It's a journey. It takes time. But it's never too late to start.
