One of the biggest things we've gotten wrong about One of the biggest things we've gotten wrong about birth? How we teach women to push. 

❌"Push like you're pooping"
❌"Tuck your chin, hold your breath, and count to 10" 
❌"Curl up as hard as you can and look at your belly" 

Your pelvic floor isn't a door you force open. It's a group of muscles that need to lengthen, soften, and coordinate with your breath to create space for your baby.

We need to learn how to use our diaphragm. To open to door. To yield. 

Nobody taught me this when I was pregnant.

In fact, most women are never taught how their pelvic floor works, how to coordinate it with their breath, or how to prepare it for one of the biggest athletic events of their lives.
So we end up heading into labour hoping for the best.
I don't want that for you.
That's why I created a free prenatal workshop where I'll teach you:

Not because they’re “wrong,” but because I’ve found there are often more effective ways to help clients connect, move well, and build true core function.

The words we choose impact everything. A cue that works for one body may create unnecessary tension, confusion, or compensation in another.

As Pilates teachers, our job isn’t simply to repeat cues we’ve heard before. It’s to understand the intention behind them and choose language that creates the outcome we’re looking for. 

This same clinical reasoning is a huge part of my teacher training.

Over three immersive days, we’ll dive into:
• Diastasis recti
• Pelvic organ prolapse
• Incontinence
• Core and pelvic floor function
• Assessment strategies
• Matwork progressions that help clients move beyond the basics safely and effectively
